Australian Federal Election 2022 - Ho Chi Minh City
The next federal election will be held on 21 May 2022.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) recommends overseas voters cast a postal vote in this election. If you plan to be overseas at the time of the election, make sure you check your enrolment and request a postal vote as soon as possible on the AEC website.
Voting by Post
For this election, the AEC is delivering postal ballot papers directly to overseas voters by international courier (DHL) and has already commenced progressively sending postal votes to overseas voters.
Completed postal votes should be sent as quickly as possible back to the AEC in Australia or mailed or dropped-off to the Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City no later than 20 May 2022 for onforwarding to the AEC by diplomatic mail.

To drop off your postal vote, please drop it off during business hours, between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
In-Person Voting
The Australian Consulate-General is offering in-person voting on weekdays from 9 May 2022 to 20 May 2022. Please note we will not be open for voting on 21 May 2022.
To maintain social distancing, in-person voting will be by appointment only.
To vote in-person, check your enrolment on the AEC website and then make an appointment here: Book Your Appointment with Australian Consulate-General Ho Chi Minh City - Professional Services (setmore.com).
On the day of your appointment, remember to bring your passport or Australian photo ID. When you arrive at the Consulate, go through the security check and then proceed to counters 5 and 6. There is no need to take a ticket.
